In collaboration with our partner agency, TH Digital, we engineered a custom 3-way integration that automated the customer signup credit assessment for Plico Energy—slashing customer processing cycles from 10 days to under 20 hours.
The Challenge vs The Solution
The Challenge
Western Australian clean energy provider Plico Energy relies on an Energy-as-a-Service model. Since solar and battery hardware are provided on subscription, running credit checks is a vital part of the signup process. However, the legacy process was highly manual: team members copied customer details from Jotforms and pasted them into Experian, creating a massive 10.4-day bottleneck, doubling data-handling overhead, and increasing compliance risks with sensitive consumer credit data.
The Solution
We developed a secure custom webservice acting as an orchestration bridge. When a customer submits their signup form, the webservice securely extracts the payload, validates identity parameters, and performs an automated real-time credit check via the Experian API. Results are pushed back into HubSpot CRM instantly, triggering automated downstream deal stages, team alerts, and contract generation based on credit scores.
